Yeah Im a sexist that works with a business partner who is a WOC  with equal shares in my company, and I want to silence women but I have been DISCUSSING with the ones who didn’t come off disrespectful.  pardon my french. Fuck I look like silencing women? Bruh if you only knew who you are talking to. If I’m a sexist you are putting these words in my mouth to make yourself look good for the females that were reblogged. You’re probably sending messages to some now like ” who is this creep”. Since we want to assume lets go all the way. I put NO female beneath me champ.  And I’m KNOWN for it. but you wouldn’t know that.  Once again you keep speaking on what I do. You know nothing of what I do. I rather talk to them about this situation than you really. and No not because I’m wrong, because you’re wrong. and educate yourself, one of the definitions for sexist is :discrimination on the basis of sex, esp the oppression of women by men. 1. My business partner is my equal not discriminated on or oppressed. 2 she makes more money then me recording and I’m not mad at all.  3. please point out in any reblog where I said I condone the discrimination of women? 4. it doesn’t say that females can’t be sexiest too.  So it goes back to what I was saying. WE need to EQUALLY work together to inform each other of the issues.  Now Please if you excuse me. I have a recording session to book. thank you.

Please tell me where I step on black women toes? do you know me? what I do? Do I not treat all women as equal? Is my business partner not a lesbian black woman of color fighting to get gigs in a world of Music engineering that’s is basically ran by white men?  and shit she gets more clientele than me on the engineering side. You know shit about me so don’t talk about what I do. Speak on what I said. As a black man thats what you need to do. And what I said was, WE need to work together  so that it becomes equal again.

But once again your statement was an assumption/opinion about myself that I don’t respect, not because I’m wrong, because you are wrong with your about me.  But anytime you want to come around here and see what we do in the community with male and females your welcome too. Until then do talk about what you assume I want to do or what I do.

Well thats good that you aren’t bashing like others. and no Im not uninformed. I am completely aware of how humans with penises can get. I have one. And no gender oppression is not a myth.  But none of your quotes can show you how it is to be a black man in this country.

I don’t understand what you mean. You say you do not believe statistics. But just because you’re one individual who happens to be a black male does not mean that you see and understand the full picture of trends that occur in our society.

The same way none of the things I see on a daily basis can show me what its like to be a black women. Those statistics and articles do NOT portray how it is completely for either side.  But what I do know is, its Black men that have no clue how to talk to women these days, with out calling them bitches or hoes. I do know that its black women that have no clue how to voice their opinion like you are doing now.

To me, none of this is gender oppression. These are just social issues. When I speak of gender oppression & male privilege I am talking about institutional problems. How black women make WAY less money than men, how black women are killed and raped by black men, how our leaders in the church and intellectually are black men *even though* as you point out more black women are graduating from college than men are! So you’d think women should be the majority of the black community’s leaders.

Respect is something that happens between individuals. A man can be sexist and never use the terms bitches and hoes.

What you consider a privilege is an opinion. Job rates those statistics are altered all the time. so who knows. We do know that their is a problem.  Is it jobs, money, sexist people? or is it the fact that the people are separated in to some many different categories its ridiculous?

Again, privilege ain’t an opinion. rates of poverty, physical and sexual violence against women… things like that are what they are. You can’t get around the facts just because they’re unpleasant.

How can a black man treat you right if he doesn’t know how? How will the black woman stand up for herself if she accepts the problems? The male college graduate that can’t get a job because he is over qualified is gonna suffer all around. The same way the female college graduate who gets a less that a male at work would.  Its a root to the problem that is being avoided, because one males feel this way and females feel that way.  When it was a time when Kings and Queens ruled together. not separate. There are ways to show a black man how to treat a black women. Coming from a black male who grew up around pimps who dogged women, coming from a family situation where I’ve watched women abused and cheated on. The original post is NOT the way to get their attention.

I mean when people are pointing out societal ills they’re not always pleasant in their delivery. I ID as a black feminist and I know and understand everything in the original post and I myself reblogged it before you got to it, so I agreed with what she said. My delivery style may be slightly different but it’s mainly because I don’t think you’re a “bad” person. I just think that you’re not understanding what is meant by “male privilege”

because you’re still trying to say that men and women are equally oppressed which is simply not true. Are white people and black people equally oppressed? If you understand how racism works it’s the same concept.

Now everything I am saying is going to seem like centering males as the attention and all of that. But its not.  You understanding where I am coming a major issue.  I see where you are coming from. I know some men are ignorant. I know WOC get treated badly everyday. I am not saying that it doesn’t happen. It’s male pigs our here black and white. However please don’t believe we have it easier than you.

Men across all races have it easier than women of their said race. Now black men certainly don’t have it easier than white women. And a poor black man ain’t have it easier than a rich black one. But if you’re just looking at black men and black women without any other qualifiers, then yes the black men have it easier. That’s what is meant by male privilege.

It is difficult times period. I have brothers who have no clue what they want to do. Lost, searching for help from somewhere to show them something.  The original post, would do nothing but show them that women think men are complete assholes. What would most men do in that situation, say “fuck it” and go do it. I know because I have a penis. We know you have it fucked up. Sometimes Men handle situations in which women don’t understand, and vice versa, that does not mean we don’t care. That does not mean that they aren’t willing to work it out with you.

Everyone has a hard time. It’s called white supremacy. But that post highlighted specific problems that women face. I’m not saying black men don’t struggle. But I am saying that they are privileged because they are men.

Again, this page really explains it better than I have and even has a checklist of 94 examples of how black men are privileged to black women.

I mean if you want to continue thinking that men are not privileged to women then do you. But the facts still remain. It is what it is. And until we address that problem within the black community (among other problems), then we can’t have proper solidarity.

Im sorry I need no article to tell me how it is growing up as a black man in this country. Not one.  and I have said each time. I know that you go through things as a woman because of men. But its very hard for you to see that men go through things because of women too. Probably No not as much, but the fact is that it happens. and we deal it it differently. Now I have stated it again that I see what women go through, But what is next? I’m not saying voicing your opinion is wrong. But a male can’t voice his about what is going on, because you think he has it easier? Is that doing the samething you don’t want a male to do? you haven’t said anything bashing me, but others have.  You think I’m misinformed by what you go through, I think you are misinformed by what men go through. Even with a dick. NOW. What’s next. How about we inform each other as a whole.Which is what I was saying at the beginning, who has it worse is NOT fact. it is a matter of opinion. The males will have theirs and the females will have theirs. Until we can start to see the similarities, it will always be an opinion. Until then we are both right and wrong at the sametime.

Have you looked at some of the things that happen to black men too? Once again It is a problem that needs to be face by both sides TOGETHER. you whole comment is irrlevant to what I was saying all you did was point out another injustice of women that I am aware of. An injustice that I would stand up to fight against. and time of the day.  How about this to prove you point that we don’t equally go through things, show me some where black men DON’T have it bad? Not saying either side is wrong.  and sorry before you source I will believe what I see everyday with my own two eyes. which is problems with men and women of color…

You know where Black men don’t have it as bad? Sexism. You say you know this, but I don’t understand how you can know it and still be talking: My number one concern is being killed by the MEN I LOVE THE MOST.  We ALREADY love you and support you. And y’all return the gesture by murdering us.

So, please, tell me what i have to do to better support you when it’s MY LOVE FOR YOU that gets me killed. Please, tell me. What do I need to do to love you harder so you will stop killing me? and we can have “solidarity?”

I’m sorry I can not answer your question. I know nothing about the feeling of wanting to kill any black women. Neither can any man that I know. the same men where a good 60% of them make less than their wives/girlfriends.  The only thing I can tell you is to pray or have faith. That’s what I do with women. and if they show any signs of something like that, get out of there.   That’s what my little brother had to do when one of his girlfriends tried to kill him over a music video. Get out of there fast. and I agree you guys have to deal with sexism much more than men do. The same people who wouldn’t mind killing me wouldn’t mind having sex with you. and us going back and forth about problems will solve nothing.  The women will believe they have it bad, the men will believe they have it bad.  So whats next? continue to get on each other about our problems, or come together? I understand the problems that you go though. I have a whole family of women including five nieces that I worry might run into some lame man.  However its real hard for you to even understand that we have A LOT of problems in this country too, and your reasoning is because I have a dick. What privileges do black men have more than black women? We both go through shit in this country. Women get hired more than men, black and white.  The numbers of WOC that graduate from school totally out number MOC.  We take up a good percentage of the jails just like you do.  They respect the first lady of this country more than they respect her husband. Who gets slandered all the time because of his skin color.  If you want to put a end to the problem, address all of them.  Men of color, white people who are racist, and women of color also.  I haven’t seen one movie really portraying a black male in a good way.  But I have seen a ton of movies showing WOC being treated badly by MOC.  But I know plenty of single parent fathers who deal with no good  mothers and STILL never bash them. The last song I heard uplifting up a black man on the radio was by Angie Stone.  Yet I roll with nothing but volunteers, figures in their communities who struggle hard as shit, and all of those in relationships are in healthy ones. We have no more or less privileges than WOC in this country. Black males are used as sex objects just like WOC now a days, How many R&B artist have to kiss fans on stage, take their shirts off, or sing about nothing but sex to get someone to notice their song. Its just not expected for a black male to talk about it that way. the labels force these male artist to do that.  I have a whole in my lip from being slammed by a cop on his car for being outside of a apartment. The same way certain women have holes in their hearts from being treated badly in this country. We will never know what its like to be a WOC and you will NEVER know what its like to be a MOC. We can only speak on what we know. The day when we can stop focusing on the differences, and look how we are similar and balance each other out is the day things will change. This problem lies in the PEOPLE PERIOD. White Black brown yellow green or blue. WOC are no more guilty or innocent than MOC.

Here’s the deal. Black male privilege in relation to black women exists.

This is ALSO a really good article by a BLACK MAN about male privilege.

We all face racism. But not all of us face gender oppression within the black community.

You mention education rates… but why do black women make on avg less than black men for the same job? Why are black women poorer in this country than black men? You didn’t address the full story.

FLOTUS is attacked all the time. Obviously, since she’s not the President she’s not going to be attacked for her policies (since she has none) but people make racially charged attacks on her all the time… for what she says, what she looks like, what she supposedly does. I think you’re choosing to pay more attention to the racial attacks against Obama. I think they’re both attacked for their race.

You want to talk about the music… address all of the songs called black women bitches and hoes while black men are pimps and playas. All about how black women’s bodies are prolifically over-sexualized in music videos while black men stand around with two or three “bitches” feeling validated. Hm, totally sounds like the men are the most unfortunate in that situation.

Address how the vast majority of the folks we consider to be public intellectuals are males. The vast majority of our church leaders are male. Why is that?

Address the high rates of how many black women have been sexually abused. By black men.

It’s not a matter of who is more guilty or innocent. It’s a matter of facts. And the fact is that male privilege, like white privilege exists. If you deny that then you are being willfully delusional.

I do not deny that there are males that act like they are more privileged. But I do know that its women that do the same. And I’m sorry I don’t believe anybody’st statistics but my own. And Im going off of what I see in different areas where I frequent.  And you took everything I said as if I’m bashing women. I’m not. we are equally fucked up. regardless of what either sides think is a “privilege”. I never said that the songs about bitches and hoes were positive. The same way all the songs about how “niggas aint shit” is not positive. I said just like WOC are sex objects, MOC are too. Once again. stating that its a problem of POC period. Male or female can think that one sex has more privileges all they want.  Even if it is a black man.  He can’t speak for the majority. The days of throwing stones should have been over.  Its time to see the other side. That we are all messed up. Men bashing women, and women bashing men is not gonna help the situation at all.  I’m not fighting for rights for men, or women, I want equal rights period. no filter.

I’m sure you have great vision, but a statistic is more than what you see with your own eyes and your experience, which is limited by the fact that you are one person.

Now, I don’t think you’re quite understanding what these ladies have been saying to you.

Nobody is denying that MOC deal with shit; of course they do. The same shit WOC do. Yes. We all deal with the same shit. But what you are not acknowledging is that WOC deal with an extra pile of shit because we lack a Y chromosome. This extra pile of shit is not only dumped on WOC by outside forces, but by MOC also.

Blame and accusations are not what’s being thrown at you. Facts are being thrown at you.

And one fact, is that the problem with “BUT GUYS WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER NOT DIVIDED!” is that it effectively erases the individual problem of Male Privilege in the PoC community. White privilege exists and abuses PoC but MoC male privilege exists also.

Male privilege must be acknowledged. Working together in perfect tandem is not possible if the problems of one side are ignored and denied in favor of the “greater good.”

I understand completely what they are saying. I understand what statistics do. being told that I might as well get my GED because I probably wasn’t going to school by white counselors, and then going to school with a full scholarship and my diploma, I know what its like to beat statistics.  You have to work. Yes you’re right the facts have been said, and understanding is needed. Now whats the next step?  And trust me. growing up in this country with a y chromosome and melanated  skin is harder than you think.  Im not saying women don’t go through it. I was saying the original post was a bad representation on how things are as a whole. Or maybe where I come from. There is plenty of men that don’t know how to talk to women. they can’t handle them, so they be little them. We call them pussies. Screaming to these pussies about problems that females go through is pointless. Because they don’t understand these problems. the same way you will think that yall have extra in a country built by white people who killed men and kept the women, because you have a vagina. We know there is a problem. the ones who don’t know (man or woman) are blind.  So coming from someone with a penis, who knows others with penises. exchanging problems between each other is only gonna lead to one side thinking they still have it harder than the other.. so what’s next?

First of all, I don’t think you’re bashing women. I think that you are just uninformed about how society functions as far as gender oppression.

It’s not about “acting” like you’re more privileged. It’s about the fact that if you’re born with a penis you have more privilege than those who aren’t. I linked 2 useful articles that articulately explain it. And one was even written by a black male.

I’m sure you didn’t even click them.

But here I’ll quote one:

Given the devastating history of racism in this country, it is understandable that getting black men to identify with the concept of male privilege isn’t easy! For many black men, the phrase “black male privilege” seems like an oxymoron — three words that simply do not go together.

While it is understandable that black men are hesitant or reluctant to examine the concept of male privilege, the African American community will never be able to overcome the serious issues that we face if we as black men do not confront our role in promoting and sustaining male supremacist attitudes and actions.

Inviting black men and boys into a conversation about male privilege does not deny centuries of discrimination or the burden of racism that we continue to suffer from today. As long as a black man can be tasered 9 times in 14 minutes, shot at 50 times on the morning of his wedding night, or receive less call-backs for a job than a white man with a felony record, we know that racist sexism that targets black men is alive and kicking.

Examining black male privileges offers black men and boys an opportunity to go beyond old arguments of “personal responsibility” or “blaming the man” to gain a deeper level of insight into how issues of class and race are influenced by gender. Gender is one of the most important tools in the production and reproduction of power because it relies on consent and not just coercion. (x)

Gender oppression isn’t a myth. No men and women do not have it equally hard by any means. That doesn’t mean I’m man bashing or saying men are bad people, I am saying that you are privileged over me in society because you are a man and I am a woman. And until black men come to understand this en masse instead of tryna dodge around it, racial solidarity is not a possibility and equality is not possible.

How you gonna advocate for equality in society at large but you don’t even want it within the black community first off?

Well thats good that you aren’t bashing like others. and no Im not uninformed. I am completely aware of how humans with penises can get. I have one. And no gender oppression is not a myth.  But none of your quotes can show you how it is to be a black man in this country.  The same way none of the things I see on a daily basis can show me what its like to be a black women.

I’m not fighting for rights for men, or women, I want equal rights period. no filter.

Carbon copy I am not.  But me trying to prove to you who I am and my reputation in my community (especially with WOC) is irrelevant. And in my last statement was about THE PEOPLE, PERIOD. We both have issues. Some love to concentrate on the differences like your self. I see similarities that we need to work on. How dare you even disrespect me and try to make it seem like I’m putting men above women. I would rant real fast on the importance of women in society, but I would sound cliche and everything I would say would fall on deaf ears.  I said something showing what black men go through to show that WE BOTH GO THROUGH THINGS.  not to bring down women. MOC and WOC are both held back equally. Bashing men because of what you have went through with several MOC is not going to solve the problem. The same way these pussies who think all black women are bitches and worthless, holds us back too. I could rant on how the youth we mentor are showed how important it is to treat black women EQUALLY. But being that your ignorant assumption of me be being a carbon copy was so disrespectful to me (to me). I’ll just choose to not exchange anymore energy with you.
